Updated COVID vaccines by Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax are expected to be rolled out in the US this coming September.
The CDC recommends that “everyone aged 6 months and older should receive the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine to protect against potentially serious health consequences from COVID-19 this fall and winter.” This advice also applies to anyone who may have never received a COVID vaccine before.
COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. They were fully licensed by the FDA in late 2021.

In the meantime, as COVID rates continue to be high, please remember to up other mitigation measures such as testing when you have symptoms, masking in crowded indoor spaces, and keeping indoor spaces well-ventilated.
