Kelly Valentin is an aspiring psychiatric epidemiologist whose research interests include psychopharmacology, behavioral health, social determinants of mental health outcomes, and psychopathology. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the City University of New York School of Public Health. Before this, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Paul Quinn College and an Associate of Arts from Eastern Gateway Community College.
She has conducted research as an interdisciplinary researcher for Seattle Anxiety Specialists, PLLC, exploring autism diagnosis in adulthood, the effectiveness of psychotherapy for depression, and navigating nonfinite grief. At present, she is a project coordinator for a grant-funded quality improvement initiative implementing a trauma treatment for college students with PTSD in multiple university counseling centers.
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Kelly enjoys candle making, gardening, and home improvement projects. Her favorite candle scent is leather and vanilla. Additionally, Kelly takes advantage of sitting on her porch, admiring her plants, and catching up with loved ones.
