Free COVID Tests Available Soon!

Infectious Diseases Staying Safe Testing and Contact Tracing

The Biden Administration has announced that free COVID-19 tests will once again be available starting in late September. Once available, you will be able to order your free tests by visiting www.covidtests.gov.

According to the Dept. of Health & Human Services website, “The COVID-19 Tests will detect current COVID-19 variants and can be used through the end of the year.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Each household can receive four tests.

📈 With holiday gatherings right around the corner and COVID cases on the rise, it’s always a good idea to have tests on hand.

⚠️ If you test negative and are experiencing symptoms, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) recommends a second test performed 48 hours after the first. It recommends three tests for people who have been exposed but don’t have symptoms, also 48 hours apart. More information here.

👍🏼 On the flipside if you get a positive test, you can be highly confident that you have COVID-19 (false positives are rare).

📢 Please share this post to spread the word to your friends, families, and communities.

✅ If you have tests at home, check here to find the extended expiration dates before discarding them.

Stay safe. Stay well. Stay prepared. Stay Nerdy!
