Aging Reproductive Health

In recognition of World Menopause Day on October 18, 2024, Those Nerdy Girls wants to send you a big, sweaty hug and highlight our posts on this important topic.

There is a dire need for unbiased information given that the menopause space is filled with misinformation and predatory marketing.

Many of us are right there with you, waking up early, sweating randomly, losing our words, and reaching for the lube.

Menopause begins when you haven’t had a period in 12 months. It usually starts between the ages of 45 and 55 but can happen earlier. Menopause affects anyone who ovulates or has their ovaries removed.

Perimenopause is the period leading up to menopause, when your hormones estrogen and progesterone start to fluctuate. This period can last for years and can come with all sorts of unpleasant symptoms.

Menopause is complicated, and there’s a lot of unhelpful information out there. Here are some resources from Those Nerdy Girls that we hope you’ll find helpful. Please know that you are both seen and heard by Those Nerdy Girls.

Stay safe. Stay well. Stay Nerdy!
