Megan is a current dual degree graduate student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She is finishing up her Masters in Public Health and will start medical school in August 2024 to earn her MD. She is excited to explore writing with TNG and learn how she can apply the skills she learns with us to her future career as a physician. She is interested in battling misinformation, healthcare access, community outreach, reproductive health, and health literacy. Megan has previously worked at the Neighborhood Free Health Clinic in Stoughton, WI, which provides free healthcare to patients who are under- and uninsured. She also has worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department at several hospitals surrounding Madison. During her undergraduate career, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant studying in vitro modeling of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis using induced pluripotent stem cells.
