Gayle Mendoza, MPH, BSN, RN, Contributing Writer
Gayle Mendoza (she/her) is a public health practitioner and registered nurse based in Philadelphia, PA. She is focused on advancing strategic development and operational improvement to promote equitable health outcomes. Her background includes health and science communications and program management for domestic and global health organizations, with a focus on infectious disease and maternal and child health. Gayle’s experience also includes public health implementation science for community health workers and clinical research for time-sensitive acute care studies.
Gayle earned her MPH in international health from Boston University School of Public Health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of Miami and a second bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.
During her free time, you can usually find her attending one of her two older kid’s soccer games, running after her mischievous toddler, exploring escape rooms or other activity-based venues, and indulging in tasting menus.
