Barbara Robles-Ramamurthy, MD is a triple board certified Adult, Child and Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatrist, keynote speaker, educator, community organizer and public health expert based in Texas. Barbara’s expertise advances child, family and community mental health equity and justice. Her work has appeared on NPR, CNN, Psychology Today, Telemundo, San Antonio Express News, among others, and she has published or presented over 100 works in local and national journals, scientific conferences, and other avenues. Barbara is a mother of two children who inspire her work to create kinder and safer communities where everyone can thrive. She is also the founder of Teku, a women and person of color led collective transforming child, family and community mental health through education, peer support and strategic partnerships. Through partnerships with community organizations and leaders, Teku co-creates educational, healing and supportive services that invite a holistic interconnectedness among communities and with our world.
