May is Mental Health Awareness month.

Mental Health

Nearly 1 in 5 people will experience a mental health condition in any given year.

And over half of all people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. This is not just about some of us. It is about all of us.

Our mental health is complex and influenced by many factors. Mental health conditions have a biological basis and are not caused by someone not trying to get better or not being strong enough. Mental health is a part of our overall wellness.

Research tells us that all of us can support our mental health with:

🏃‍♀️ Exercise
🍲 Regular meals
🚰 Good hydration
🌳 Time outside
🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏽 Social connection
🏢 Having somewhere to be every day
🌈 Having a purpose each and every day

We hope that you can some time to focus on your mental health this month.

Connect to people who are supportive.

Know that it is OK to not feel OK.

There are resources to help (below).

Stay safe. Stay well.
