Those Nerdy Girls are celebrating International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also provides a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
Here are some ways you can join in and celebrate International Women’s Day:
1.) Donate to a cause that supports women, including organizations that help women run for office (see link below).
2.) Write a letter or make a phone call to a woman who inspires you. Don’t hold back. Share your respect.
3.) Spend an hour or more hanging out with a girl, learning about her interests, hobbies, and hopes. Ask questions, and listen to her answers.
4.) Support women-owned businesses.
5.) Read books by women authors.
6.) Host a dinner party for your female friends.
7.) Follow and share @ThoseNerdyGirls on social media.
