🥕 Promote 3 meals a day with a few healthy snacks
đźš° Remind to drink 2 liters of water a day
đźš´Partner for physical activity every day
đź“… Schedule activities and support sticking to them
đźš«Advise to avoid alcohol and substances
📱 Suggest limiting phone use and news consumption
2-Discuss mental wellness openly. When supporting others, it is important to ask questions and invite conversation. Normalizing not being OK helps us all by opening up conversations around mental wellness.
âť“ Ask questions
đź’› Establish trust
đź‘‚ Listen without judgement
3-Offer support where needed. This can be difficult. Maybe you are able to help with basic tasks like meal delivery or helping clean the home? If you are not able to support, you can direct the individual towards resources specific to COVID-19 or general mental health support.
