Q: What does voting have to do with health?

Social and Racial Justice

A: A lot!

Elected officials play a key role in shaping policies and implementing programs that impact health at the national, state and local level. They also play a major role in navigating public health emergencies (as we’ve seen over the past 4+ years!). Voting is critical to a healthy democracy, a healthy nation, and the health of our communities.

As Election Day in the U.S. approaches on November 5th, we will be sharing information on topics such as voter registration, finding your polling place, voting by mail, navigating election misinformation, helping others to vote, and staying safe while voting in-person at the polls. If you have a specific voting-related question, please drop it in our ‘Question Box’ that can be found on the homepage of our website so we can consider it for our coming posts!
